Checkmate Ch. - 3rd Round Pairings

The pairings for the Round 3 of the Checkmate Championship, on Sunday March 21st, are expected to be :

1. Mann (1.0) - Kernighan (1.5)
2. Sherry (1.0) - Minkov (1.5)
3. Shiffman (0.0) - Renna (1.0)

Azzarello (0.0) receives a full-point bye.

    I feel bad about what happened. Therefore, I am proposing the following compromise:

    They can play each other in the 2nd round. This game can take place any time in the
    next week or so at B&N or some other agreed upon place. I will be there. The winner of the game gets a half point. The loser gets 0 points. A draw is worth nothing.

    In either case, I am willing to pair Don and Ken in the 3rd round (but not necessarily to each other), if that is what they want.

    I hope this compromise will make people feel better about the situation and that Ken and Don will be in the tournament for Round 3.
